WrestleManiaEra.com exists to study professional wrestling's modern history with the same curiosity, consistency, and respect that other disciplines bring to basketball, cinema, music, or literature. And not because wrestling needs to justify its place in popular culture, mind you, but because its stories, performers, and moments have shaped generations of fans around the world.
Professional wrestling is one of the greatest storytelling mediums in modern culture. To study it thoughtfully is to recognize the artistry, athleticism, emotion, and cultural impact that have captivated audiences for generations. Not to study it thoughtfully is a disservice to the art form.

Every ranking, essay, timeline, and historical study published here is an attempt to answer that question through a transparent methodology that values context over hot takes and evidence over nostalgia—though, to be fair, we enjoy a good hot take from time to time, and we're certainly not immune to nostalgia ourselves.

I was bitten by the wrestling bug nearly forty years ago. Like so many fans, I fell in love with the spectacle. Over time, I became equally fascinated by the history, the stories behind the stories, and the question of how greatness should be remembered. The WrestleMania Era is my contribution to that ongoing conversation.
Legacy fascinates me. Whether we're talking about athletes, artists, musicians, entrepreneurs, or the people we love most, every life leaves something behind. We all hope, in our own way, that what we do matters. Professional wrestling simply happens to be the lens through which I've spent a lifetime exploring that idea.
